you're most welcome Mrs B,
well my afternoon of graft has made zero difference, how the fuk is that even possible?
its gone from 29 degrees with the room all on open reflectors, to, er, 29 degrees with the 2 open reflectors, and 3 aircooled ones.
I even added a long length of ducting from one of the air vent bricks directly to the intake, thinking that would help, but nope, still 29......bah!!!, im more than a bit bit pissed to be honest, im not keen on work at the best of times.
I might have to just do the half room this time, or more likely just crack on with the higher temps.
fuggin buggin bastin twattin feckin lights
I also pulled the psychotropic in hydro, it was looking as feeble as jedward, so to the sheep as capn would say

so after a night of experimentation ive managed to get the temps from 29.8 to 27.8.
this was achived by upping the circulation fans in the room to setting 3, turning down the 2 open reflector ballasts from 600 to 400 watts, and adding the humidifier.

Ive come to the conclusion that air cooled hoods are rubbish, so they are coming down today...…..FML....all that work yesterday for nothing, im more than a little bit pissed about this, and im gonna have to patch up the duct holes to the ceilings too..
Ive got another cunning plan.....ive searched through my "spare fan" collection, and am gonna use a 10 inch intake instead of the current 8 inch one, and im gonnna use the current 8 inch intake as an extra extraction, hooked up to a spare 12 inch filter, and run off the single fan variac. I will run this 8 inch extract at about 60%, and let the 12 inch extraction ramp up and down to suit temps, from the twin variac.

ANd if that doesn't work, im just gonna turn a light off, and lose a couple of plants, probably should have just done that from the start-Doh!!!

Ive found parabolics better than air cooled.

Morning me old fart knockers, and welcome to my first ever diary on here.
its like being a virgin again...almost, …..

anyway let me introduce myself, for those who don't know me (that'll be most of you).
I live in the Northern wastelands and smoke dope all day and all night, and have a fairly happy life, despite all my moaning, and have only been interrupted by the bad piggies once.
I met the Nookster online a few years ago, and taught him everything he knows - and it didn't take long I can tell ya . :bang head: Don't know if that's a good thing or not, but anyway. :drama:

So on to this latest adventure. i made up my own rdwc system years ago, and after numerous re-designs, and reaching black belt status in bailing out tents, i decided to do it properly. now alll the disasters are self inflicted, like the time i was filling my 200 litre water butt not so long ago, and er, forgot about it, till i saw water seeping out from under the door, woopsie doopsie :Stoned:

And here is my latest incarnation of my system.ImageImage

and before you do- don't bother taking the piss out of my finely crafted timber net framework, its minted in my stoner world, and will work fine, I was trying to get across the industrial chic of emptiness, within a confined factory setting. er...yeah that's it.....

The plants im doing this time are all dinafem, and are .drumroll...…

Blue cheese . 4 NO. left side of room .
yes that old favourite honker. its a firm favourite of mine, bud fatty buds, not a huge stretch and lots of lovely tasty smokes at the end of it,
critical+2 there is 3 of them,, right side nearest door.
this one is a mondo yielder of lemony goodness, again big fat buds of stinking goodness.
Moby dick right side of room furthest away 3 of them too, one was ropey so its double bunking with another. it might well get pulled.
Again a mondo yeildr of big fat, er you get the picture. Its a hazey smoke, but without the 12+weeks of flower-ideal, especially given my electric bills.

Nutrients line up....
IOnic grow
IOnic bloom
Growth tech silicone
Canna cal mag
ph down.

That's all you need, don't need all that other bollox. trust me, ill show you.. heres a pic from the last one, nothing but the above nutes was used.
Image

im hoping for more of the same, but this time im doing a scrog down the right side of the room critical and moby, and letting the bloo-cheds just do their thing, with a few toppings along the way.
ImageImage

Todays magic numbers are 0.6 ec and 5.8 ph, temps are 26 degrees, perfect.

so the lights are from Fred Flintstones store- good old HPS, 600 watts with adjustawing shades, dimmable ballasts, and today we have 2 metal halides above the blue cheese side of the room, and 3 dual spec hps above the scrog side.

so buckle up, it could get messy.

splash!!

nothing much to report. i was too keen on getting these in the system, i should have waited till there was some proper root length on them, but too late, they are in now.
