They're not that bad, just a few signs of stress and they're all fighting over the tiny CFL. And very true, I just think I was being over confident by trying to veg 9 x boisterous Hawaiin plants in a 0.7x0.5 space lol. Let's hope I have a few ladies in there hey.GMO wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 10:10 pmwith the colour they showing dude, they cant be that unhappy with ya. and if you keep vegging and chopping em back eventually the nodes are gonna tell ya the boys from the girls. all comes down to timing and we can get a little excited us stoners when it comes to new strains and flavours. we want em all![]()

I have to say, ive been experimenting with numbers.... more plants doesnt mean more yield. I used to get more pp and per square meter with less, even with gaps.

Re: Electric Purps - Big island Genetics - (Organic)
Hey All,
Sorry about the lack of updates; again, I've been preoccupied with life recently and haven't had much time to post. I've moved these one into 11ltr pots with a 60/40 mix. They're all over the place and I'm convinced I have more than one genotype but it's hard to tell but from what I can see, there's two types of plant. One is tall and fussy and the other is a shorted plant that seems happy. I've ended up with 6 females and 3 males. I've also kept one male for messing about with pollen because it looks like a nice plant. Nice skunk smell and vigorous growth. Probably going to try and cross it with some Lemon Zkittles from DP.
I've moved from HPS to LED. I've got myself one of the Lumatek Attis 300w units. Looks a nice bit of kit and gives of plenty of light and it also comes with a dimmer :) I've been having some issues with these plants though. Everything points to a magnesium deficiency with some interveinal chlorosis, the odd yellowing lower leaf and some tip burn here and there. It was hard to spot under the HPS but stuck out like a sore thumb when under the LED. I've been pumping 25ml of CaMg to 20ltr of water and that's been bringing up the EC to ~0.5! It's helped but they're still pissed at me. I may decide to go back to tap water for the duration of this grow or look to grab some Canno Mono Mg and see if I can improve things with a little Mg boost. The other thing I've thought of today is my Alga Grow is old and at the end of the bottle and it's like tar. Maybe my nutrients have gone bad? I've bought a fresh bottle today so we will see if that makes a difference before throwing more nutrients at them.
Saying all that, they're still growing nicely and seem to be reaching for the light despite the little bit of stress. They also smell great too :D. They've been on flower for about 6 days now so ~10 weeks to go! I'll post some more photos in a sec.

Hey all,
Just a quick update, turns out my suspicions were correct and it was an old bottle of nutrients. That and the LED and they've gone crazy. Nice colour, no more red stems and flying!!

You can use Irfanview to flip images etc. before uploading if the new skin doesn't allow it. (Free too)grumpygrower wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2020 8:28 pmLol indeed Marcus :) the new skin didn't give me the option to flip the photos?

Re: Electric Purps - Big island Genetics - (Organic)
Thanks Momma bear! They are absolutely rocketing along. I know I've only had this LED for about a week but the growth rate is crazy! I think my nutrient issues were exacerbated due to using RO water. Since changing the light and nutrients I'm blown away by the difference.
