Re: Grumpy Toad's Fall Fruity Fiasco
So far I am liking these plastic training clips. I'm glad I bought a package of 60 because I'm going nuts with then. You can see, in the second photo, where I removed them from the original position to a more outward location to keep them growing out.

Re: Grumpy Toad's Fall Fruity Fiasco
End of week 6
I've removed some lower fan leaves and a few lower branches. I'm trying to use the training clips and leaf removal to keep light and air getting through the plants. Temps and humidity are holding well. I'm adjusting the dehumidifier as needed to keep the RH in check. I was thinking about going 8 weeks veg but I will probably flip at 7 weeks since the plants are getting tall fast. We will see what happens.
I had an issue with the Midnight Moonlight last week. I've been placing the buckets on the kitchen sink and letting runoff go into a container. I put something under the rear edge of the bucket to speed things up. Went in the other room and heard a crash. The bucket went into the sink but stayed upright. Other than getting a little shook up it's fine. No harm, no foul....in fact it looks like it might have triggered a growth spurt.

Re: Grumpy Toad's Fall Fruity Fiasco
End of week seven veg / 1st day of flower
I had hoped to veg for eight weeks but I'm afraid If I do I will run out of room under my lights. So I'm flipping today and it looks like it should be a full house. Things have been doing well. I'm done with the training clips. I think they worked great for first try using them. Temp and humidity have been stable without any serious peaks or valleys. When I went to water/feed plants yesterday and the four largest were pretty droopy. When I picked them up the buckets were really light. So I'll start water/feed every other day, instead of every third day.
Lights are at 300 watts total at the moment and my plan is to increase them to 400 watts within the next week or so. Luckily our weather is finally changing and becoming fall-like. This allows me to increase my wattage and still keep temperature in check. If we get a some warmer temps I may have to back them down to keep the tent from getting too warm.
All these strains are expected to finish around 10 weeks and that would put harvest sometime in early December.

Re: Grumpy Toad's Fall Fruity Fiasco
I checked my AC Infinity app and my humidity was slowly climbing. Time to see what's up. The dehumidifier was starting to ice up. It's thawing in the garage with a space heater blowing on it. No worries just dealing with things...

Re: Grumpy Toad's Fall Fruity Fiasco
Mine is sort of working, some water coming out the hose but some still leaking out the machine which I have to collect in a separate container. Probably need to take the whole thing apart to fix or just get a new one...Grumpy Toad wrote: ↑Tue Sep 26, 2023 12:05 amI checked my AC Infinity app and my humidity was slowly climbing. I'm a believer of buying quality only hurts once. But sometimes you have to balance that against your budget. (In my case SWMBO). I'd like a better dehumidifier but the next step up would be serious dinero.biosynthetic wrote: ↑Tue Sep 26, 2023 7:51 amMine is sort of working, some water coming out the hose but some still leaking out the machine which I have to collect in a separate container.
