OK so this one is going to be a little different and a little challenging as due to the limited space I have available to grow and not wanting to miss out on these Awesome New Strains from Growers Choice, while still having some fun in the One Pint Grow Off (as the Pot Noodle results look awesome). So, I have decided to tackle two completions with one Grow Diary so hope this is OK with everyone (already clarified it is actually within the rules).
The competitions being covered by this single grow diary are:-
The Growers Choice strain I was randomly selected to have is as follows (based on the Feminised stats as the actual seed are not advertised yet - but should give a general indication etc):-
Tropical Cookies Double XXL - Auto
We took our pineapple skunk clone and crossed it with the girlscout cookies thin mint cut.
this one will stay as a F1 for now. You can expect phenotypes in this strain, but there will not be much of a difference as the pineapple skunk and the girlscout cookies both grow the same and look the same.
The phenos also have the same needs in nutrients and climate so it will be easy to grow this one.
The only difference in the pheno will be the flavour, some will be more fresh like grapefruit and others will be more sweet like the cookies. After doing some testgrows we will decide what pheno we want to have for the next generation of this strain. This small and bushy plant is perfect for indoor growing or for outdoor grow where you dont want high plants. Due to the pineapple this strain is very moldresistant and really early flowering.
Perfect for outdoorgrows in the northern hemisphere or short indoors grows.

and I started to plan out how this grow would work:-
Day later the seeds look viable and seemed to have popped:-
so this time I decided to put them in Jiffy Cubes before the tap root shows/grows as I find that a difficult thing to do with shaky hands etc and doing it with a round seed certainly makes this easier, I surrounded the Jiffy Cubes with expanded clay pebbles as from my little experience so far these will hide the initial roots poking out of the Jiffies and encourage further root growth and these pebbles can be easily removed once I decide which one is going to be Team Red (Coco) and Team Blue (Hydro).
They are both currently sitting in the airing cupboard along with the rest of my newly found friends who seem to be just appearing out of nowhere, along with all the tents and other equipment that seems to be accumulating in my very limited living spaces ;o)
The Tropical Cookies are the new ones under the Jiffy Bag (thanks again to Capt) with the others just playing a part so I don't have to upload separate videos for my other grow diaries ;o)
