Re: pink crystal growers choice momma style
ok so as i am giving my little cuties a hair cut aka topping them I notice some brown spots on a few..I of course as any mother would rushed to the phone and 911 Keeno as he is my mentor,He first has me search for any critters on or under leaves..none so he suggested that I add cal mag to tonight feed but to first spray them with a 3 teaspoons to a liter if Epsom salt first. so I sprayed them all down and then fed them accordingly adding the cal mag, Fingers crossed that this fixes the deficiency and they will be back to happy healthy lil sweet hearts of plants'. Big thank you to Keeno for all the help with figuring out what the cause of the spots where and wilh showing me where to top the babies at :) You are an amazing mentor!!

Re: pink crystal growers choice momma style
Amazing pictures momma. Not nice to run into a minor issue straight out the gate but good practice. We will work on a process of elimination. Your temperature was a little high but not drastic, humidity slightly low but not in a danger zone. No critters.... its clearly a deficiency for me, given it's a unknown coco and your using a feed I'm very comfortable with it leaves calcium def top of the list. I would be expecting magnesium deficiency to make an appearance in the next week or 2 so it's no problem hitting them now anyway.
The Epsom salt foliar feed I told you to mix at 2tsp per litre is to help the plant uptake calcium and magnesium in your feed. Your background is on the higher side, a foliar feed of Epsom salts would be enough with my water supply as it will contain some elements. Given the calmag you have got has iron to it's a nice boost. I had momma add tips at 0.5mp per litre to her feed. We are not working with ec measurements, if we were I'd have told her to mix her normal feed and just add the calmag on top of it at 0.5ml per liter.
Calmag will normally boost ec to high levels. After years of using calmag I've found that just adding it in top of my normal feed for a day or 2 has no ill effect. If a plants in need of something it doesnt make sense to me to take away feed to add something else, just the way my head works and its dine the job for some time.
At worst these girls will darken up and show slight burn shortly after a calmag feed, but being coco it's not a huge problem and normal feed follows the next day. I always go in much lighter than recommended with calmag. I've not used this one but after reading on it I think I'll also track some down.

Re: pink crystal growers choice momma style
Hey momma,
Can you also start to lower your light a tad. It's at 3 feet. Bring it down 4 inches tomorrow. Also let's get these on 18/6. Some strains dint like 24/0 and it will get them moving a bit.
Also can you please think about whether you wish to scrog or LST. Good examples of scrog are my latest diaries or GMO has a really nice one atm. As for LST bulls latest diaries or my guide in the canna school for newbies is a great reference.
Scrog is a fool proof way to get a even canopy, requires less attention to detail and easier to control imo. Cons, harder to get under canopy and not as easy to harvest especially using a solid screen and not a elasticated one. Also pretty much impossible to move plants once trained into one.
LST requires a little more effort to get that perfect canopy which can mean more time in the groom. Easier to get in and under the canopy if needed and easier to harvest. Plants can be moved easier if needed.

And also.....
Get 50l in that res, time to test these drippers.
Ec notes - BC 0.6 - after 0.5ml per liter a and b and 2ml per liter rhizo 0.9.
That's identical EC to mine in background and after adding the nutes.

Re: pink crystal growers choice momma style
Drippers worked like a charm :) Sd did the tray and the drain..although there is a small leak at drain will have to reseal in the morning once it has dried. As per Keeno I used .5 per liter of the A&B and 2.o of Rhizo and 5.8-6.0 on PH. They do seem to be perking up a bit since the cal mag feed so hopefully that will do the trick,
