I wouldn't worry about it i think most hermies can be more genetics and its very rare you`ll get a fem hermie seed these days, I've seen more reg beans hermie than fems. But also yes it can be stress related but by that i mean more light leaks or too much heat from canopy being too close to a light. Theirs good and bad stress and a light defoliation id put under the good bracket when its done veg or early in bloom. I think only typo stress that it could cause is to knock plants back a few days or a week but if you dont remove more than a 3rd this typo stress will be minimal. I always give them a good drink after a defoliation or any stressing session.
Maybe goggle "good and bad stressing of a cannabis plant" and im sure summink interesting will pop up to read, but i think benefits outweigh none benefits especially when scrogging for bigger yields. The leaves grow back quick enough then all you have to do is just remove odd few leaves once a week. Well unless your me i just do it again around 7 weeks in all at once if it needs doing or if i feel need and im not being a lazy git.
We can remove up to a 3rd of plant material or their about without causing hardly any stress, if at all any stress on bigger fair sized or bigger plants like that your growing. Summink I've never worried about tbh and I've always abused plants good style, but I've never had a hermie weed plant touch wood and all that shit.
Your shout end of shift mukka so tis last i shall say on subject Herby man.
