Hi GR420
I'm finally getting the feeling my Pineapple is back on track and is now really going for it. I have transplanted them to their final pot on Friday went away for the weekend. When I got back last night I could really see how much they've been growing! It's so nice to see them finally both going strong and the PE has now caught up with the BD. I am a bit unsure about the LST - and basically just winging it - trying to keep everything as spread out as possible. I have been feeding Grow + Bloom + Top Max which I believe are molasses, n-p-k, and humic acid - but I don't know for sure. I gave the PE half the dose of bloom and top max because I have the feeling it's not as hungry (or as sturdy) as the BD.

The other plants in the tent are basil (geneva + italian) and strawberries.

cheers,

Weedabix

picture time!

It seems to be growing alright. The PE is again showing these signs for something being a bit off - or it  being unhappy. Slightly darkbrownish spots developing and a shiny surface - only in a few leafs it seems. I don't know what it is and how to change it. Lockout? Deficiency? Burn? you tell me... She seems to grow really well nonetheless and has now overtaken the BD.

She smells really nice! So I'm not overly worried.

Both of them are getting quite hairy! So I have started taking the macro lens out - it's tough photographing though!

I'm enjoying looking at other people's diaries. I'm not contributing much but I'm a beginner after all!

cheers,

some more pictures

So the PE is getting really hairy and dense - the BD is a little behind now. I'm feeding 0.5ml/l of biobizz grow+bloom+top max. They are now 6 weeks old since they were planted in soil.

I have some strawberries and basil in there. No, the plant with the brown spots is further from the fan than the other one. I have had issues with that one throughout the grow and still don’t know why. At the moment it seems the new growth is not affected and it’s only the older leafs that have the spots. I don’t think it’s windburn though as I have had the same issues before I put the fan up. Rather some sort of lockout or deficiency.

Thanks Marcus, yeah she doesn’t seem to be stunted too much. I thought she had grown out of it at some point but then she got those spots again. I have considered feeding some calmag to see whether that helps but other than that I am out of ideas.

There are buds, there are trichomes! The PE is getting a bit frosty, the bd isn’t really. I got a macro lens and have been playing with it and have the following conclusions: 1. It’s really hard to take decent pictures 2. No wonder this plant makes you high, it’s so trippy looking once you zoom in!
Why are some of them brown though? Are they going brown-clear-cloudy-amber or are some of them already amber? I would have thought I am still miles from the finish...

Hi everyone!
I have been away for the last 5 days - I watered them properly before leaving, so I was hoping they'd be alright. Our flight was delayed back so I was getting a bit nervous they'd be suffering by now but they have survived! The pineapple express looks pretty rough though. But it now has pretty big buds and I feel like the end is in sight. The BD is also really pushing on and is getting a bit denser. It's still not very frosty. I'll have a look at the PE's trichomes tomorrow, but it's day 54 so I will probably start flushing at the end of the week and will aim to harvest in about 10 days or so (I'll need your help then!).

Because of its issues I added 0.5ml/l calmag and I am now at half strength of biobizz grow/bloom/top max which is 0.5, 2, 2 ml/l. We'll see whether the calmag makes a difference - apparently it doesn't hurt.
