Thanks Cam. I'm starting to wonder if it is at all possible to fall in love with a plant. Is that normal? Asking for a friend......

Re: Auto Brooklyn Sunrise, Sunset Sherbet and Northern Lights
Hi all, here's the latest as of this morning,
It's been an eventful week,. The challenge was temp control. We had a cold snap and while the photoperiod tent managed fine as it has an old duvet over it insulating it from the outside wall of the loft, the autos tent suffered with temps as low as 13c.
The problem was also due to the autos tent having the 6 inch filter and fan still there from the summer bagseed test when I needed to keep temps down.
4 inch filter and fan installed, along with a hot water tank insulating jacket that came in 4 strips to insulate the tent from the outside wall and the lowest it got was 17c last night. Still a tad low but I've also picked up some kingspan type boards to help further.
Here's the photo girls:

Big Northern Lights after topping:

Little NL not topped:

Had to start LST with the Sunset Sherbet as she's growing a lot. With the autos in the flower tent this girl is going to be vegging for weeks so I figured it might be best to LST now. That was a first, no idea if this is correct:

I also topped the autos as any grow diary I've seen for auto brooklyn sunrise shows pretty big plants which is no good for my tent. I appreciate topping autos is sometimes frowned upon but these girls are really just test plants for dialing in the environment so I'm not that worried.
Perhaps this relaxed attitude caused me to totally fuck up the topping of one of them! Totally gutted but it will be interesting to see what happens.

But overall they are still looking ok. Cannot believe they survived the low temps, perhaps slowed a bit but time is not the driver here.

Just watering as and when needed using 1-2ml/ltre of grow along with 5ml/ltre of the seaweed extract.
In the water front, they are getting spoilt with Tesco's own mineral water at 6.2ph and £1.25 for 5ltres.
Jobs to do include getting the kingspan insulation on the outside walls to further insulate, some reflective bubble wrap for the roof rafters and that's it really.
And yes, I'm officially in love with the sherbet with it's vigorous growth. It's got me thinking that with the many weeks of veg, when it comes to flower I might stick it in a bigger pot and scrog it on its own in the flower tent.
Thanks for following all. I'll update in a week.

I've been thinking about the Francos and I like the challenge of growing what seems to be a sativa dominant plant in my small space. I'll definitely give them a go.

Holy crap, they do stretch! When the camera went below canopy and I realised there's just two plants in there, that was a shock. I'm up for it, will have to rethink a few things!

Re: Auto Brooklyn Sunrise, Sunset Sherbet and Northern Lights
So the Sherbet is growing that fast I'm having to move the lst cable things again today.

Started some basic lst with the NL, it's that small though I used some wire stakes.
The autos in the other tent were drooping a bit near the end of the 20/4 light cycle and I wondered if this was down to too much light? so I've switched them to 18/6 for a bit to see how they go. The ISH3R is only running at around 73w at its lowest (I originally posted 90w which was incorrect) and I found that if I turned it up they started drooping so it went back to the lowest setting some time ago. It really is a lot of light for the space but I'm hoping it will come into it's own for flowering which will be it's main job later.

Re: Auto Brooklyn Sunrise, Sunset Sherbet and Northern Lights
Nice fast pace in here dude. Drooping is normal nearly the dark period and during the dark. It's kinda like the plants tucking them selves in if there is a regular temp drop of a few degrees at the same time
But it kinda looks like your plants might be thirsty mate, what's the watering schedule like atm?
Side note; I also quite like autos on a 18/6 cycle as I find they fill out alot better (as plants actually do most of their growing in the dark)

Re: Auto Brooklyn Sunrise, Sunset Sherbet and Northern Lights
You are bang on GMO, I've been that paranoid about over watering I've not really set up a regime, just little and often, so not even a wet/dry cycle.
This morning they looked worse and for the first time I gave them a full litre each.
Thanks so much I've hopefully dodged a bullet there.
