Farmer Giles we spoke about mould the other day and this morning there it was on 3 tops so tops removed major leaf strip and another clip fan added under canopy hopefully can get to harvest without any more losses and I know I'm an idiot but I've forgotten how to move pictures from the app you set up to here so couldn't upload photos what a plonker I am maybe I shouldn't smoke weed so often lol

I presume you`ve removed effected bud nice and careful like, but yes best get it out of room hey. Stick a fan on floor too if you got one, more airflow the better hey, a real shame though.

Thanks Mr scoops I put the clip fan under the canopy this morning dehumidifier has been on for the last few days and I removed the mouldy buds too so it's in the lap of the gods now but it's one of those things with the great British weather.

Big buds are awesome but a PITA when it comes to humidity.

So I've been looking at my critical kush from Barney`s Farm this morning and it`ll be at start of week 7 (42days gone) and I'm noticing odd amber looking hair around plant myself now. Not a biggi in itself but I've also been reading up on it around net and tbh i don`t think it will go longer than 9 weeks which i think will be max you could let it go in bloom. Point being I'm gonna let it run for 9 weeks so at day 49 I'll be putting them on water only diet for 2 weeks. One thing i do see peeps rave on about growing with LED is bud finishes up a bit quicker, whether its right or wrong feck knows tbh but myself I'd be aiming at 9 weeks so be putting them on water only at day 49 and if they need to come down a week earlier (8weeks) so be it, they will have been on water for a week by then so should be flushed out enough although not ideal cus i like 2weeks water myself, but yes time will tell hey.

Although i don`t know for sure I'm pretty sure ones with hairs turning amber on your plants will be same plant as mine ie: shorter critical kush.

I'm similar to you Mr scoops I've grown with hid for 12 years or so 400 Watts in a 1 metre tent mainly but I have done grows with 250 and 600 Watts as well I've only been trying leds for a year or so, so im a novice with the leds, so same as you I just do 10 weeks usually I get a few dark hairs about 5 weeks in using led but I go by the trichs not the hairs. Led doesn't seem to work as well in the cold my last grow with the ish 150 was terrible that's why I put both lights in this time I don't know whether they finish quicker or not but they can work well in the right conditions. I'm going back to my metre tent next grow with the ts the ish and also a vipaspectre for a total of 480 Watts if that's not enough heat I'll be going back to the 400 hps which as you know is bomb proof.

Far from a fan of LED lights for growing. Give me a hps any day of week, man I've used same wattage and close to 600watts of power with decent led lights before in my small space and like fuck can i get what i can off a 400 hps light, were talking near on half as much and its not for want of trying cus I've used both cree cobs and samsung quantum led more than once.

Tbh i can`t see fascination in them, at one point it was about saving money ie "get a 300watt led cus it will out perform a 600hps" or spiel like that branded around net or on led light makers sites, like fuck they do, but that`s my opinion. I now see growers using them blazing 600+watts power of led light in same space a 600 hps would proper blazer it up and save you money. Each to their own like and tis just my opinion.

I mean led just doesn`t seem to have that umph in final stages or last few weeks when buds are going crazy packing on weight popping like popcorn, they act more like a 250hps which is kinda similar on that score, but get a 400 hps or above and watch those buds start popping in final stages of your grows, man i love that stage of grows.

I know what I'd be doing in 1m square, blazing 400 hid up in Summer and 600hid in Winter So what are thoughts on led now your a few grows in ?

My first led grow started flowering early June last year it was hot the yield was good the buds smelt lovely but I did bubble hash a lot of wispy bits. I only grow for me so I don't need loads so I was happy the following grows the yields got lower as the temperatures dropped and the last one was terrible. I believed the hype about the lower wattages with led but I think in the uk the dry heat of hps could still edge it. Looking at captain beefs grows which are impressive he is still using a 600 watt hps for heat and also to dry out the air that with the spectrum from the led makes an almost perfect environment. I know you was pleased with your mixed hps led grows and I think here in the UK that's more the way to go. Having said that the buds smoke lovely from led and there's no denying that they work well in the right place
