Small experiment - stuck on my 2x hps at 600w each to see temp difference - as you can see the high/lo yesterday.

tbf as well, 2x600w compared to 2x250w - the 250 canopy was about 50k directly under. The HPS are 60k directly under. IF I had one more light, possibly 2 it would be a far better coverage.
I just wanted to see what the temps would get to tbh as I am still having issues

So what would you prefer? A bit higher temps and more lumins or cooler groom with less light? What's the humidity with the different light? I presume HPS will be dryer

Also its worth noting the the micromole count i.e umol is actually more important than lumens. The umol rating is how much usable light is produced by the LEDs not how much light, which is the lumens. :)

You will have a umol/Second rating and a umol/Watt rating.


Samsung LEDs have a lot higher Umol rating and this is where the gains are.

I cant test that tbh, but the temps are much higher with 2x 600w hps atm.
