Lights on - 5am
Lights off - 11pm

Nutrient burn?

Post by Trex »

looks like a ph issue .

Oh dear lord the tropic mix , all peeps i know who used that ran into severe problems , the coco they use in that causes mega ph issues . Calcium ,Mg probs , ph probs you name it .

If you ask me that medium was intended more for tropical house plants . like Aloes and cactii

21 degrees is low. keep a nice warm 26-28deg 60% rh in veg ,

take a pic of entire plant so i can better assess situation , sonetimes its lower leaves that get less light and start dying off .

I once made a mix similar to this and had to treat it like a coco grow after 3-4 weeks .
That means , ph water and coco nutrients , run off as the coco gets locked with ions and needs to be reset

Damn thanks Trex, I guess you get what you pay for... tropic mix is about £9 for 50l, biobizz is about £16 for 50l lol. I've got some ecothrive 70/30 ready for my next run, want to give coco a try (I have ALOT of coco nutes so may aswell get the use out of them lol)

I'll get you a pic of the full plant later on today, but it is the top leaves (at the node where i topped)

and ok I'll get a heater in there later to get the temps up

my RH is ok, does sit about 58%

But yea, thanks again man, ill be back later with a pic of the full plant, my 2nd strawberry cream is showing the same signs too, exact same setup for this one too

First time Soil grower here

Having decent luck with Biobizz All Mix plus Grow and Bloom nutes. Nothing else. Slightly burnt yellow tips, but otherwise good. Following Biobizz feed schedule and have been giving nutes every water and they loved it. But I'm going to ease off on tbe next run.

One of my plants had leaf septoria, think there are still an odd few leaves that do. But think that's down to my environment being too dry

16l fabric pots

Feed 5l each. 2nd week flower

Have used light mix for seedlings and initial potting in small pots.
