Viper filter

Post by Nastyhabitz_ »

Afternoon everyone im going up to leeds tommorow to pick up a viper carbon filter . I have a 8" silent hyper fan pictured below. Viper offer 3 different sizes in the 8" range ive ruled out the smallest as its only 800m3. Which leaves these two .Do you think i should just go with largest 8" they offer theres only £20 difference in price

I just bought the 800m3 8inch Viper to go with my 8 inch rvk l1 (1000m3) but I plan on having the fan turned down mostly anyway.
What would be the risk if you run a too small a filter? Smell leaks?

"You like smoking them, though."

You should really go with matching m3/h but tbh I cant see you ever running that fan flat out?
The risk would be strain on the fan motor.
The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.

How are you finding the viper cf mate? Is it as good as people say?

Viper filters are great, you won't regret buying one. For the sake of 20£ I'd get the biggest one available for your fan, it will last you way longer. Usually filters should be rated higher than fans. That's just in case you need to run your fan on full whack.

I've ordered it but hasn't turned up yet. I'll have to wait for the current grow to finish before I swap it out anyway.

I know the feeling. I had to put a 5" filter in. Having COPD, asthma and spinal problems, the damn thing nearly killed me. I'm dreading putting the next one in.
