seems like alot of people are using monkey nutrients as that was recommended on numerous occassions before i chose to give it a shot, soft water is what i have and the amounts are pretty heavy to be honest.. yet so far have been fine up until now.

i have been using the above chart as a rough guide, granted i found it to be a bit heavy on nutrients.

Bloom a+b 4.5ml per litre, calmag 2ml per litre, Boost 2ml per litre
What EC does all that come to?
Havent really done EC before (newb error), checked ph of nutrients is 5.5, ec is 1280 (not sure if ec is good or bad), but going by that nutrient chart its too low :strangling:

The EC is low but you throwing a bunch of calmag in that's throwing the balance out. If you're not using RO or have incredibly soft water than calmag. You're probably locking a bunch of stuff out due to the high levels of calmag. Best thing to do is follow the manufacturers recommendation and if you notice a slight deficiency, add a small amount of calmag.

I think that's gonna be a false reading tbh cus im near on sure these contain organic bits n bobs too, as said a bit like hesi ferts both bio and mineral based and ec pen only measures minerals. But just lower ferts a wee bit and you should be sound now stretch is over unless that burnt leaf look starts spreading getting worse like a mad hatter then a flush through of your pots maybe called for. :nice:

im in scotland with really soft water, i contacted the manufacturer who stated 1-2ml per litre (Calmag) was the recommended amount (i was feeding 2ml), what iv done so far is flushed them and will drop to 75% nutes on next feed and work my way up slowly, thanks for the info, not quite as easy to grow things "PROPERLY" as everyone made out lol

Really no need to work your way up again, remember what i said, plants starts to taper off take up older it gets, but just looking at feed charts for these and most feed chart are generally way....ott then from around week 5 maybe go with 3.5 to 4ml a litre till you flush towards end of your grow. More feed = more bud, that's a load of shit, just go by plant and if looks fit and healthy your laughing.

Another idea for next grow is maybe go by what plants saying and how its looking, so lets say you flip to bloom and plants look happy without any under-fert symptoms on 3.5ml per litre then take a step back look at plant before upping ferts and think to urself "hmmm do i really need to up these ferts cus this baby looks gorgeous nice and green" then simple jobby is to just dont up them, jobs a good en.

Sounds like they dont contain much calmag although im sure A&B ferts will contain it, but yes tbh their really shouldn`t be a call for using calmag after stretch is over, lets say after 4 wseeks of 12/12.
