Hi everyone. I am new here. So we get a lot of Sativa grown naturally in suburbs. I just saw videos on youtube and could understand we will be needing few apparatus for setting it up. I am just not sure how will we measure the potency or strength? Plus is there any short way to find out if the plants we are focusing at are female ? Is there any complete tutorial or stuff to teach from a-z ?

Welcome!! So glad you joined! Ahhh I think we would all love to be able to tell sex early.. you could grow feminized seeds instead of reg. Feminized seeds are girls and kind of solve that problem. Fem seeds are the way to go, things can still go wrong but its much rarer. Forget measuring strength, youd need a lab to do that. perhaps you have them in the states but i reckon the cost would be high. I just go off what the packet of fem seeds say in terms of strength, but so much can affect the strength during growing its not worth bothering to measure. do the best you can and it will taste amazing and get your very stoned, thats all you can do in reality.

There are lots of grow diaries here, have a read of a few and see what style is going to be your way of growing. Pick a media(coco/soil etc etc) and then look at what equipment you need. Ask any questions you like and someone will answer.

You generally start to see what sex plant is anything from around 4 to 8 weeks.

Strength testing isn't cheap either done at lab or with expensive kit.

Make yourself comfy and get a diary up. Then there will be a single thread for you to keep track of your progress and it gives everyone else a place to go to see and answer any questions you have.
