I used to fly fish for trout in Scotland but I've now just started some spinning from the beach and rocks on the Canaries. Yet to catch anything but who cares? The peace and quiet and scenery can't be beaten

What's your poison?

More of a golfer than fisher for me. I used to fish loads as a kid but grew out of it I suppose, but both sports are as boring as each other some would say. I like to think they're both relaxing and chilled hobbies ✌🏽💚

Like the fishing alot more on the east coast than the West. Nothing but walleye and pike here which are fun but i like smallies and trout more.

i fish,

i was up west coast of Scotland last week, caught a sea trout, lost a salmon.
went further south, my lad caught a pike,

i used to poach loads of rainbows out of a RAF stocked loch. /We went up one weekend stole, well more - borrowed thier only rowing boat one weekend and spent a very entertaining few hours trawling up and down thier loch pulling thier fish out, as about half a dozen of them shouted at us from the bank to come in at once, or there will be dire consequences.
pigs arrived eventually and shrugged thier shoulders, they werent keen on swimming out to us, ha ha fukn pricks.

I never was any good at following orders.

we got away too, bonus.......

I’ve done some saltwater fishing, mostly in the Gulf of Mexico for snook, redfish, trout, tarpon, kingfish, grouper, and snapper. I’ve done catch and release 99.9% of the time if it wasn’t commercial fishing.

Love my fishing. Mainly beach casting and the odd boat trip.
Bass is normally target species but I'm happy catching anything.
Fish mainly NW England coast and the odd trip to Lincolnshire and Welsh Wales.
Tight lines

I think the last time I fished was before that date. Used to fish by hand mainly. I'd get bored quickly when I fished with a rod.

I used to fish with a hand line actually when I was working on the docks between ships or even when a boat was on, used to throw a line over the edge with a lure more fun than with a rod but never been massive into it just something to do rather than work

Always dipped in and out of various fishing all the way through my life. Carp fishing is my biggest enjoyment. All the lakes are so full these days though it's hard to find somewhere nice, quiet and secluded.
