Gaslit is based on true events about Watergate scandal. I don`t think its supposed to be funny and more a drama but man I've not stopped laughing at this one, comical to say the least. Theirs some big stars in this as well Sean Penn and Julia Roberts to mention a few. Well worth a watch if you wanting a funny history lesson this it. Shea Whigham plays a great great part in this series, funny as fuck he is.
