Looking for recommendations and advice.

Post by Finchmad_79 »

Looking for recommendations and advice on strains to help with the following symptoms.

1. Daytime use to help the wife with her fibromyalgia.

2. Daytime use to help me with spasms and severe nerve damage pain.

3. Night time use to help me with the above plus help with sleeping.

When I say daytime, I mean nothing to heavy or hard hitting that it stops us from functioning. Night time use, anything goes as long as it helps.

If it helps or makes a difference, it will be used in a vape and edibles. We hadn't looked at making oils etc just yet.

Thanks in advance

I would think that some oldskool strains would be better, tried and tested.

Northern lights is supposed to be a really good medical daytime smoke.

I know @Keeno makes oil for sleep, maybe he will know some more.

Tough one Finch. The issue us a lot if strains hit people different.

Daytime for me was the Agent Orange by TGA Subcool seeds. Real Orange flavour, lighr stone, enjoysvle and functional.

Night time was UK Cheese, shut glued me to the bed and sleep followed.

Both are hard to get hold if these days. That being said a good cheese is normally a heavy stone. A haze or more sativa dominant plant is normally a heady high.

You can further these expressions by harvesting the plant at different times. A plant harvested later will normally have a heavier night time stone, a plant harvested earlier will be more heady. So the sane steam can have different effects based in harvest time. This won't mean you can make s very sedsting strain completely heady, but you get the idea.

Don't know on 2 and 3 but know someone with fibromyalgia. For them personally (it could be different for everybody) a 2:1 CBD:THC or a 1:1 CBD:THC strain has been most effective.

I remember reading one time that Tahoe OG and Granddaddy purple are both good for fibromyalgia. I havnt tried them personally so I can't give much advice. However for a strain for the evening to help relax/relieve symptoms and help with sleep I'd suggest anything Chem/dawg. If I remember correctly Tahoe OG is in the heritage of both those strains so maybe it kills two birds with one stone.

As for a daytime strain you could try a 1:1 or higher CBD strain as suggested above.

I hope this helps a little 😁

I'm growing White rhino at the moment for Mrs Trunk. She works all sorts of hour's in healthcare and needs a sleep aid. The Rhino was recommended by a few peep's on here. I'll let you know if it works in a couple of weeks.

Fx uses and raves about night nurse. It's a 1:1 starin.

Blackberry quentessa was another that @Spartangrown mentioned in a podcast.

Yeah, nightnurse 1:1 helps my fibromyalgia more than anything it's potent but the cbd levels means it evens out and for me at any rate is a daytime smoke they need to rename it day nurse lol.
I find kritikal bilbo good for(non fibro) pain as I think I mentioned in chat but as Keeno says, it effects everyone differently its a case of finding what work for you.
if you do find a good sleep aid though I am interested lol. I am also growing white rhino atm so let's see what that's like.
