Seven Girls One Tent

Post by TerpBurglar »

Strains
Mephisto : Sour Stomper
Mephisto : Chem Dogging
Mephisto : freebie #12 samsquanch x forum stomper
Mephisto : freebie #18 (creme de la chem x forum stomper) Bx forum stomper
Fast buds : Purple Lemonade
Dinafem : Dinamed CBD bud seed from the last time I grew it. (Only fund 2 in there luckily)
Discount Seeds (freebie) : Green Crack CBD

Light Schedule 18/6

Equipment
mars hydro tent 4x2ft
Migro Aray 4 pro light
Cheap 4 inch extraction fan

Seedling Stage
I thought I'd try and do a bunch of autos in smaller pots in my 4x2 tent. 4 x 14 liter pots, 2 x 7 or 8 liters and a 2 litre jug just to see what happens with a cbd freebie. All grown in 33%'ish reused organic soil, 33% worm shit and 33% perlite. I also amended the soil with Echothrive life cycle.
Initially I germinated 6 seeds using the glass of water and paper towel method and they all popped fine but after putting them in the final pots and putting a plastic cup over as a humidity dome they either came up with helmet heads and I've damaged them trying to remove the helmets or I've left the cups on too long and they've gone moldy. All apart from one purple lemonade that survived. I've never had such a poor success rate since I started growing, I'm thinking auto seedlings are more fragile but I don't have much experience with them tbf. After that shit show I decided to try something different so I went out and found some coco plug puck things and I'll never go back they all came up fast and vigorous without any stalling and once you put them in the pots there's no stalling at all because they don't have to come up out of the soil again and I think the coco gives them a massive head start with it being perfect for seedlings and its hard to over water. This method really seems foolproof imo.
Notes : They weren't all started at the same time btw as you can see from the pics. I noticed a few gnats hence the yellow sticky traps.

Veg and Early Flower
Everything is growing nice and healthy. They are just getting water with some added biobizz aloe and some liquid seaweed stuff every now and then.
Week 3: Purple Lemonade got what looked like a magnesium deficiency followed by a couple of the others so I give them a feed with epsome salts and all is good. I put a mulch layer of rice hulls on to keep the top layer of soil moist.
Week 4 : I've top dressed with some more echothrive life cycle. I'm noticing that most of them are starting to flower.
I decided to do a little lazy LST on the Sour Stomper I just bent the main top over for a couple of days to let the lateral branches catch up a bit. I decided to leave the others to do their thing. I think it's good to stay out of autos way and let them go, which has worked out good as I can be way too harsh on the bondage at times and these girls are doing way better than any autos I've done in the past. I'm noticing visible growth almost every time I go in the tent.
Week 5 and 6 : All is healthy and stretching and stacking well. I'm feeding around once every 3 days and almost every day for the little jug. I've added 2ml/per litre of Plant Magic old timer organic bloom to every feed and they still get the aloe or seaweed. Everything is happy and healthy ☺ I'm busy harvesting and staring at my shrooms lately so hardly been in the tent, which could explain why they are doing so well 😂ImageImageImageImage

Notes : every week I'll adjust the high for each plant with boxes, yoga blocks and all sorts of other random objects, so they are all getting the amount of light I want them to have. I use the method Shane from Migro made a video on, with the same lux meter and lights he used. I multiply the number on the lux meter by .017 and I get the ppfd or close enough. I've done this for all of my indoor grows and it works amazing for me. They are all getting around 800ppfd at this point, from the calculations for the method I'd using anyway.

Thanks mate, really appreciate having your experienced eyes on my grow 🙂👍. These Mephisto strains are doing amazing so far. The purple lemonade too which I wasn't sure about as you hear a lot of mixed reviews about fast buds. Saying that my favourite strain I've grew so far was their strawberry pie, even tho it stunted and I ended up with just under an oz it was such a beautiful little plant. I'll have to try that one again now that I've got things a lot more dailed in. I can tell already that this purple lemonade is going to be so easy to trim, which was another good thing about the strawberry pie.

It won't allow me to Edit so I'll just continue the diary here.

Week 7/8 : 7 Girls 2 Tents
Was getting a bit awkward to access some of the plants and was starting to worry about airflow so I've got my little 2x2 drying tent out and borrowed a mates spare 100w quantum board light. The 5 main girls are in the 4x2 and the 2 cbd plants are in the little tent which is just passive with the vents and the door open a bit as they aren't really smelling much atm and the humidity is fine. All is going smoothly and nothing much to do but watch them grow.
Still getting 2ml per litre of the old timer bloom and the aloe or seaweed. I've also top dressed with bit of the echothrive life cycle.

Lovely set up man.

That bar that runs round the 2x4 , did you install that or did it come with the tent?

Thanks man. I put it in, it's just some poles and corner connections from a garden supply place. The poles were a bit long but a hacksaw cuts through them really easily. It's held in place with rubber o rings, rubber tape and zip ties.
I did it with scrogging in mind but it's super useful for hanging things off, keeping wires out of the way and best if all it stops the tent sucking in. The sponges might look weird but they make the tent puff out so it feel way roomier.
I added a bar up top too as a further upgrade. Image
