Re: Twisted first hydro attempt
Warming the res isn't warming your roots. They'll have a warm shot of feed once a day and then quickly drop back to the temp they were at.
Get the temps up in the tent.
Where is the air that comes into the tent coming from? Outside? If so, try and draw it from inside.
What temp is the tent BTW?

Not got the intake on yet so it is getting drawn from the room and straight out.Marcus wrote:Warming the res isn't warming your roots. They'll have a warm shot of feed once a day and then quickly drop back to the temp they were at.

Temps are 25-28 lights on and 20 lights off

Re: Twisted first hydro attempt
Its feeding cold ferts that's caused the problem and If he carries on feeding freezing cold ferts the problem is not gonna get fixed, which is what's sending roots into cold shock causing lockout mate. Its just gonna be an endless cycle till they're proper knackered. Letting pots dry out is the solution and not feeding cold ferts again is the fix so it doesn`t happen again.

Re: Twisted first hydro attempt
I bet once you get temps up they will be happy once again
they tend to get sassy when their roots get cold

Re: Twisted first hydro attempt
From what I've read, the tent is at 25-28*C... His roots will be at that too.2-Scoops wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 2:23 pmIts feeding cold ferts that's caused the problem and If he carries on feeding freezing cold ferts the problem is not gonna get fixed, which is what's sending roots into cold shock causing lockout mate. Flood them once every couple of days with 13*C grub and they'll be back at the room temp in half an hour. Even if it is 'cold shocking' them, 13*C is not cold. I mean, DWC folks like to chill their roots 24/7 between 15-18*C.
I sling water straight from the cold tap at my plants and have never had them do anything looking like that, so I'll take my leave and let you folks sort it.
They look like they're revegging cuts to me that are just taking their time about it and look sad as they pics are always at lights off.

Re: Twisted first hydro attempt
Another option is to just flip them this causes an hormonal reaction and 9 times outa 10 they will come good Twisted so long as your not carrying on feeding cold ferts.

Re: Twisted first hydro attempt
Since last time I let the pots dry out and put 2 aquarium heaters in the res temps at 21c now.
I am slightly concerned about the drooping, also a spray of calmag needed?
I'm hoping to flip these next week so hoping to get them right
