Had the same thing. Energy company want £200 a month off me, so Iv been running my lights lower. 180w instead of 240w. Adter seeing keeno's last grow I'll knock it down to 150w and see how it goes. I hate paying leccy bills

Have rising energy prices made you think twice about that 16 week haze strain you've got?
Nah I'll just grow amnesia haze thats 10 - 11 weeker, jobs a good en. But those leccy prices are fucking extortionate atmo. Thing ive started doing again is getting to know a strain or two and get them ready in my old wardrobe under my 70watter t-5, doing that knocks weeks and weeks from vegging and possibly or hopefully i can get 5 grows a year from my little flower room hopefully.

With some of the high efficiency bar lights you don't need much wattage.
Hopefully prices will come down. :idn:

I do the same thing mate. Use the Green Qube 60 and a 5000k T5.
I've got Kritikal and Orangesicle more or less ready to rumble.

Get an EC fan if you haven't already, it'll save you a few pence in the long run. Unlike ac fans when you dim an ec fan it'll use less electricity....
Every little helps
Sounds like we need some ec fans for the comp. section

Can't say I've heard of them. We're with BG and pay quarterly. The bill comes in, then I go to the PO and pay it. No way will we do DD for bills that are constantly different.

hi all good post,i have been as economic as i can this run and crammed the bigger drobe with autos and am vegging photoperiods at the same time all under 250w mh/hps and using the climate control to its best benefit and then i have just small cfl in veg cab and find a long slow veg works for me and i train them a long time ready for scrog,i do have an led but feel it is wasted in winter as i have to run a heater as well even when light is on so stick with the hps for the added warmth.
good climate control and if possible lots of insulation helps a lot, electric still costs less than buying weed so atm i continue to do my best cheap as possible, roll on summer atleast heating is saved then, good luck all

Yeah you can't dim a ac fan down anyway?

I always try and make sure I get one that can be lowered down.

I am also looking into a home made "heat exchanger"

So I buffer air going out of my main groom then feed warm air back in (when it's needed in winter)
I dunno what there called or even if there is a name for them but try to find a DIY heater on YouTube that is a flower pot turned upside down with candles underneath. They work surprisingly well!
