ive done a few 12 12 from seed, mostly for breeding, but all photoperiod plants, not autos and just to keep them small and get more in the tent - but it still takes 4 or so weeks before they start shooting pistils, so its pretty counter productive, unless you are growing some crazy tall west african sativas or sub tropical sativas.
id stick with normal veg myself, and train it - - if its sat dominant. At least your finished plant will be a decent size with lots of bud instead of a stick with buds up it....

doing autos 12 12, altho it is doable is gonna be a waste of time imho , unless you already have too much bud, and dont really want much more lol.
