Hi guys do these plants need defoliating or flipping?!?!?

Hi guys I started a grow 7 weeks ago and My tents about full, have I to defoliate these or flip 12/12 to flower, it’s just I’ve read some bad stuff on defoliating but also good, is defoliating actually good orrrr, should I just flip? Cheers guys thanks for help! Gary

Personally I’d take off all the big leaves and flip them, some people like defol some don’t, Iv had good and bad results, must be statin dependant but then could be pheno dependant so would be about trying, looking at them I’d take all the big leaves though

I do light de leaf just efore flip then have a go at her week 3 9f flower.

The other half does it different. Think we all find our own way lol

Cheers guys I’ve defoliated them a fair bit (mainly bottoms but not too much) and flipped tonight, I was worried about space to be fair, I was told to fill the tent but then read they explode in flower so had to take that risk, (hopefully the right risk, I think next time I’ll defoliate a week or 2 before flip and take only what needs taking off in flower, just for recovery but I don’t think I had much option this time, I’ve not gone mad so fingers crossed, thanks very much guys, stay safe grow strong!

Beautiful girls you have I would agree on the defol of the bottom of them and always leave top leaves. As they said everyone has a preference

In veg I try to get to just under 4 quarters the size I want then ill flip. I'm only in 80x80 so don't want too big as air flow can be an issue

I'd defol heavy and flip....but I've removed near every fan leaf at flip in the past, and none to compare. All it did imho was made trimming easier but they are quite big.

Thank you very much for your help guys, I flipped last night I didn’t want it to come down to having to get rid of a plant because of space or causing any harm, I defoliated a fair bit but not to much, as and when I feed the next couple of weeks I’ll take the bare minimum off of leaves and smaller bud sites, this wouldn’t harm the plants would it as long as I don’t go stupid?
and I just keep the grow Neuts going for another couple of weeks until it starts showing flower and then switch to bloom Neuts?
