Strange mutations

Post by Back Room Farmer »

Hey all. So I am doing DWC, have gotten pretty good at it but this run my plants are doing some really strange things. so the lead up to this is I put in system and then messed up and forgot to check them for a week. Water levels went way down so of course ph went up, have reset all and all is nominal now but whilst tucking scrog today noticed that the leaves are all wacky. any ideas? or will it work itself out?

If this was a clone is it possible it had started into the flower cycle? Even if it had not yet began to show sex but had started then it would be normal as a plant in re-veg would look like this.

They were a week or so into flower maybe a bit more. Had a mass failure of clones and had to cut new ones after they were in flower already. I will keep this thread here to update and see how it works out for future people to use as well.

Nothing weird in here buddy. Looks like you got clones there that for some reason sometimes just start to shoot funny single bladed leaves. It will sort itself out in a week or so.

As above, reveg. This is no bad thing, reveg plants tend to be stocky and more bushy, perfect for scrogging.

For sure its this if its the cutts took from a plant in bloom. As Keeno says it can be or is quite beneficial to end results. What you`ve done here its what`s known as monster-cropping, maybe go have a read about that it will tell ya more. But when you flip back to flower they go crazy and usually start leafing back up as they should. :nice:

Wow cool! do keep it. I'd be interesting to see what it results in. It kind of seems like a deficiency though. Have you considered adding some nutrients?
