Re: Coronavirus
I dont know her myself but my mates 80 odd year old auntie is in ICU and has been confirmed as having C19... for the last 5-10 years she has had other multiple serious respiratory health conditions....omgBoNg wrote:Well we officially know someone who is confirmed
I really hope she pulls through but my friend said the doctor told them to prepare for the worst as they dont reckon she will recover.... She is really ill before taking C19 into consideration so they are prepared but its still shit. They cant even go and see her and although she is completely sedated they just want to hold her hand to say goodbye... its not even what the virus does physically thats the worst, he said its not being able to be close to your loved ones to comfort them thats so hard....
It makes my blood boil when i see ppl on FaceBollocks saying its just flu and its nothing worse than any other flu like illness... i think its gonna get a lot worse before it gets any better unfortunately.
Stay safe everyone, wash those hands and look out for your friends and neighbours, especially if they are vunerable.

Never give advice. Wise men don't need advice. Fools won't take it.

Re: Coronavirus
See what I can’t get my head around is that i know a 5 yr old who’s got it and a dear grandfather of someone I know , both are recovering fine and not many ppl knew about it , yet a young nurse in our local hospital ( I know her auntie ) had flu symptoms got sent home , before we know it the men in white suits appear , cone and tape off the street , frightening the living day lights out of ppl to take swabs , now if that’s not setting panic into ppl wtf she was in shopping in Asda 2 days running no ones worried about that lol ..

Its weird isnt it Polly.... to be honest, this thing is a bit unprecedented and they dont seem to know how to deal with the situation.Mrs Beefheart wrote:See what I can’t get my head around is that i know a 5 yr old who’s got it and a dear grandfather of someone I know , both are recovering fine and not many ppl knew about it , yet a young nurse in our local hospital ( I know her auntie ) had flu symptoms got sent home , before we know it the men in white suits appear , cone and tape off the street , frightening the living day lights out of ppl to take swabs , now if that’s not setting panic into ppl wtf she was in shopping in Asda 2 days running no ones worried about that lol ..
