@Mrs Beefheart ive always took tomatoes off the vine as soon as they start changing color , some say it gives a better flavour

"When should I pick my Tomatoes off the vine?

For maximum results, the best time to pluck the tomatoes from your plant is when they have turned to about one-third to one-half of their full ripening color. Allowing a tomato to spend too much time on the vine can lead to splitting. The longer a tomato hangs, the more issues it can develop."

Thanks hun I’ve never heard of that but I’ve ever had success on toms till this yr lol I’ll go check for splits and I’ll pop them off later tbh I been waiting ages for them to colour up

Winter is on the way here , not much happening in the garden or greenhouse , last couple of chilli and peppers , a bucket of spuds left to raise out
