Hello again all, How do you go about storing rainwater for indoor use?
Will it keep well? I don't need huge amounts as I only grow a few plants at one time.
I will be collecting it into 5ltr black water tubs.
Cheers

Re: Storing rainwater ?
I do like using rain water although I don’t store it long term I tend to just sit my 5 gallon buckets out in the rain then use them up. Little treat for the plants

The local reservoir stores my rainwater for me though, when I want some, I turn the tap on.
It doesn't even make the flashy stirring magic EC wand flash.

Re: Storing rainwater ?
I have 55 gallon drums collecting it off my roof eaves. you want these out of direct sunlight as algae will form .
you will want to treat this as your hydroponic reservoir.....
I use so much of this in the garden that i dont need to treat it. but if you do need to . a 1/4 cup of chlorine per barrel , mix well , let sit 24 hrs until chlorine dissipates to use on plants.

Re: Storing rainwater ?
We have water butts from the house, shed & cabin. Also did greenhouse last few years too. We take almost daily from these so very little hanging around indoors. Use rain water on indoor house plants too, stored in 5 ltr container stored away from light source. Stays good for ages.
