Another energy hike within the UK. Do you think hobby growing is sustainable?

Ill just carry on regardless and see how i go, if it comes point im struggling i shall fuck it off. But im thinking i shall be going full LED next grow swapping out 400hps for 240 led,so not much of increase for growing, maybe a lesser yield but jury is out on that one atmo.

I have 2 'Nailgirls 600w dual switch'' leds, and they use very little energy.
My current daily electric cost in total is £4.
(but thats with one small 4" fan in tent, my alienware pc on all day, tvs, washer etc...)
Based on our predicted price in oct that means my electric will cost around £6 per day.

If i get say 3oz PER GROW (id die) but however that wouldve cost £540 on the street,
at say 14 weeks per grow - means that the plants are growing £40 worth per week.
I know ive done a really low yield example, but it will always work out cheaper growing yourself.

Say you get 10oz per harvest then that means you are producing £128 of the goodstuff a week.
and electric only £6-7 per day.

I dont know what its like where you guys are but street weed round here is £200 an oz, £100 for a half, £60 for a q, £30 for a henry and £10 for a gram. Shocking, it used to be £120 for an oz of top drawer stuff and £25 for a henry.
There was a big price hike and its been stable ever since, with the rising cost of energy and everything else how long till the street weed goes up again anyway, personally i dont think its going to be long.
Like mr ming says itll always be cheaper to grow your own, just likes its always cheaper to do anything yourself really

the way i see this is a sad time... for those out there running a small set up for personal getting a few zips per grow,simply not worth the cost as if ya only pulling say a few zips as a novice per plant the cost wont be worth it ! its time to do the maths NOW !! what you can haul time after time THEN !! decide if the dope is worth the funding,i myself will keep running 1200 watts for the foseeable as i smoke over an oz weekly + theres no way im buying shite in my lifetime. i can see half the grow tents / setups going on ebay after xmas god bless us.

Oof that's pricey. I thought i had it bad. Saying that i dont know anyone that does little bits anymore and fuck going to meet a little street rat around here. I have 1 guy i have known since i was little and he does me 4.5oz for 550 cash but if that source was to go away id have nowhere i could go.

nope the so called cali is 10... per grm and ive smoked a few bits i swap dope see with buttys i wont buy it fuk that. tbh the cali stuff comes in a tub all nice + medicinal looking but its shite
