Trichome photography

Post by wutang »

Hey All

Was wondering what you guys use to look at trichomes on the plant whilst it's still growing?

Even with fans off, my hands are shakey so can never get a steady glance.

Interested to see what you guys use.

DSLR's seem the best with 60mm macro lens, but that's serious dollar.

Peace
Wu

You can also get macro lenses for the most common cell phones today and that is a lot cheaper.

Yeah I have even used an eye loupe against my phone for this. a 60X lense does the trick.

I've got something similar to this and just got dull photos. It goes from 50 to 1000x but to me it basically just focuses it for me. Maybe I need to turn ups lights off to get better quality. Or the scope is shite. Thanks for the link. I'll check it out

Yeah man, DSLR is the way forward I think. Maybe if I convince the Mrs that I want a DSRL to take lovely photos of the family and kids, and then slip in the macro lens...should work right :) :barmy:

Yeah man. I've just tried it on a flat surface with some existing bud and its a lot better and in warm light in the room with the scope white light on as well. I think you guys are quite right, it's that lil shake that kills the image.
