New Blog! Cannabis Flushing - Is it really necessary?

Post by abseedyofficial »

Afternoon all

Couple weeks later than expected but here is the blog we were asking for some help with the other week

Today is just the first part which is done by us and tomorrow we will have the responses from those who replied on here as a follow up

Thanks again to those who got involved, hopefully will be able to do some more like this in the future for anyone else who fancies it :thanks:

Always a good debate to be had.

I'll be flushing my coco a and b run when I get around to it.

Nice article, food for thought.
Personally I have only flushed because everyone else recommends it, never looked into the science or anything behind it.

Like you mentioned in the article when I see badly burning joints with black ash I’ve always put it down to being poorly flushed.
On the other hand though I’m sure my bud always smells nicer up till the point I start flushing, it looses that real nice smell then, perhaps due to the plant basically getting ill from starvation?

Tempted to cut mine down now

Drugs and Alcohol are never the answer! Unless the question was “what am I doing tonight”.

It's weird the different results different people get from flushing or not flushing - seems to be a real mixed bag!

Think as you said, most who do it don't actually look to any science to back things up but more just what is the "done" thing within cannabis growing. If it has been working then why not, don't fix what isn't broken as they say!

I've never flushed at the end of a grow, no matter if it's soil or coir. Never harsh on the throat from what I've experienced.
