Home Assistant

Post by grownnotflown420 »

Been a very very long time since I posted on here...

But is anyone using home assistant to automate their grows?
I've recently implemented it to control my lights, fans, humidifiers etc all via automations or manually via a dashboard, game changing to say the least!

I'll post some screenshots and pics if anyone is interested :boogie:

I use it just to log temp and humidity from my meross and sonof sensors. I use a separate ecotechnics fan controller for the rest of it. But yes would love to see what you have done with it.

I don’t use home assistant but use the Tuya app as most of my plugs are Wi-Fi of zigbee. My inkbird rh and temp also controlled by Tuya. Irrigation is on smart plug too. In my prop tent have a Tuya rh and temp senor that can control the smart plugs too

Yea man I use tuya plugs, home assistant gives me the capability to analyse data points etc, have more advanced automations, even have notifications sending to my phone when my humidifier runs out of water or if temps spike too high!

Tuya is a brilliant company though, soooo much smart home kit available

I'll take some pics over the weekend and post them here

So far my automation is only controlling the environment, but in a 2ft x 4ft x 6ft tent I can change the temp or rh in seconds or just request that it keeps those things at whatever I set them too.

I have sensors to read soil moisture, not the shit ones that corrode, so they will be going in when I "standardise" my cycles.

I currently have no plans to auto irrigate, I'm using dry amendments so watering is piss easy enough as it is
