Bluelab users beware!!!
Hey everyone
So long story short, I've been using a blue lab guardian for a couple months with my dwc grow. Best purchase ever made btw
But after switching to my hortilux gold series ballast the ec would rise from 1.3 to 1.6 after lights out.
So my ec has actually been at 1.6 all week
Switched back to my nanolux ballast, reads 1.6 like it should be.
Rf interference
Big shout out to Nanook for helping me figure this out
Happy growing

Re: Bluelab users beware!!!
Thanks Josh :)
Yes I had this with various pumps and ballasts as well if on the same circuit as EC/pH equipment. Battery units imho are best :)

Re: Bluelab users beware!!!
I'd send email to BlueLab explaining them the situation and asking for solution or maybe a replacement unit if that one is faulty.
Please keep us informed buddy,
I will be going go check my BlueLab combo meter which is similar to thr guardian but running on batteries.
Fair Play to Nanook for helping him. Proper ball ache!

Re: Bluelab users beware!!!
Lol, I emailed them as soon as you mentioned something about RF interference according to Blue lab it's highly unlikely because all their cords have some sort of coating to help prevent it. But the ballast I have is pretty high frequency so I'm assuming that's whyNanook of the north wrote:How the hell did they know all my cheap chinky and trimeter unit have done it TBF mate that's the only reason I knew.

Yes, they will RF shield. Running power cable parralell with ballast cable will make it worse. Always try to cross them not run together.

Re: Bluelab users beware!!!
It's not even on the same circuit though, that's the weird thing
