Hope I didn’t sound like I was kicking off again @2-Scoops lol
Lol you animal. So yes tbh i do have 250watts of invisible sun led power to use in that space and in reality its more than enough for a floor space size 55cm x 110cm. I just haven't got balls to risk losing half my yield which is what's happened every time I've attempted to use LED, this was all done running higher powered around LED with great ratings like 500watts of cree cobs, 300watt of Samsung quantum lm301b amongst another few and for life of me i just cant see 250watts of virtually same light as the 300watter Samsung just mentioned which gave me like half bat in weight improving things. Yes i know we can train plants all day long to produce more buddage, but im a lazy grower, i do a bit of lst a bit lollipopping etc and jobs done. Theirs no way i could scrog the space cus i cant get to half of it only to water. End of shift im thinking of putting a wardrobe grow together at some point so it might be a go`er in their. Cheers mukka.
My space is 55 x 180, I ran 240w of the 4R bars that I cut in half so had 2 bars on either side of the space.
I've dropped the 315w CMH in there for this grow, I'm with you on the loss in yield and also what I'm finding with the LEDs is the dope just isn't as funky as with HPS/CMH style bulbs.

But... :idn: maybe it's just me.

I've got 1000w of LED boards knocking around the garage and I keep jumping back to the CMH as it just does the doo better for me.

Yes for sure im just not fully sold yet Marcus, well if i do the wardrobe project the 250watts of led can go in their and ill scrog it, but atmo i do like a hps and led combo in flower room and wardrobe has led in for vegging which atmo i prefer to my t-5. All that may change at some point knowing me though.

Now you mention it, I’ve just grown blue cheese the last 2 grows and the first under hps smelt just like it should, this time round was cuttings and a mother under led, the smell just wasn’t there come harvest, mind you i picked the week to harvest when it was 30 degrees and my bud was all dry in 2-3 days of hanging, I put it down to the fast drying that the smell wasn’t there but maybe not then.
Will be interesting to see what happens this time around.

I used to love t5’s for veg, got a 2ft 4 tube and 4ft 8 tube, the 4ft one uses 400w though lol so I have to run it with half the tubes lit or it’s just not worth using, plus the heat those things kick out is no joke, come close to drying plants out a few times using that thing. My mate had it before me and he wiped out nearly a whole pack of ten seeds under it.
These v bars are brilliant though, so far I’ve been running them at 45% power each, each fitting is 150w so I’m drawing something like 120w with both lights running. Temps and humidity is so stable now and for extraction it’s just a passive exhaust that goes into the top of the flowering room next to the carbon filter, no need for any other fans in there, well happy with it, I can’t recommend led enough for veg at this point. Plants are thriving but I think that’s mainly down to the environment now, the air isn’t dry any more.
One thing I will say though is I see a lot of purple in my stems now, so far it doesn’t seem to be doing any harm but i never had that with my old methods.

Finally making some progress on this one. Got it gutted, painted and some holes drilled out for ducting. Measurements are: 77cm wide x 42cm deep x 113cm high.
Will be putting some draft excluder around the doors to light seal, and away he goes. ImageImage

Few extra bits. Got 4x 4inch usb fans for circulation and some acoustic ducting fitted. He has an A.c infinity s4 on the way and i forced him to germinate a couple beans yesterday so he'll be rocking in a day or 2.
