Biggest problem over watering, don't over water.......
I've been stressing that to my brother for his last 3 runs.
He's using less but I still feel that he doesn't let them dry enough between waterings.
If you reduce the amount of hash you consume in order to preserve your glass you've missed the whole point.

The hash is more important than the glass.

For myself the best thing I did was started soil testing. I am not smart enough to diagnose a plant and when in organics if you see the issue chances are it’s a bit late. And learning how to properly water. And lastly pot size. Go with as large a pot you can as it will just make doing this easier.

Just my thoughts from a guy starting this himself and what he’s learned in the last 2 grows.

What type of soil testing do you refer to? Testing what? These are the kinds of things I haven't been doing, or even caring about until now.

Hey Trippster62

Thers a few people here using GHO soil @DIY.Rik in terms of re using soil im sure rik can fill you in more then me

Im a soil grower aswell

Living Soil Starter Kits

I had to look up the GHO soil. Being in the states that's probably not a good option for me. I did however buy an American made " super" soil for the next run. Fox Farms Happy Frog. From what I gathered, it is a mix of worm castings, bat guano, peat, coco, perlite, buffers and minerals. It's pretty popular here. Just got to learn to keep it healthy.

Use Rhizotonic. It helps with shock if potting up as well as good root growth. Speaking of potting up, if you don't have any mycorrhizal fungi, then semen is a cheap substitute.

Dont feed until the plant tells you its hungry, or you’ll be feeding a shit ton of nutrients. Water on the outer edge of plant to make the roots grow, and just dont freak out over any plant deficiencies you come across. Come to the forum and post photos and let us help with anything that pops up

That sounds like a good technique. When I picked up my Happy Frog they were out of Ocean Forest. I may have to order online. I have perlite, worm castings and Great White mycorrhizae plus trichoderma.
