That's unbelievable.
Are military forces helping?
Are other countries helping too? Surely they can deploy people and equipment fast enough as they do when sending troops to Iraq?
you would think so bulls , but its sad to say war is a money machine .

thoughts and prayers go out to all there
We can get swept away by our thoughts,,or learn to step back and see them with clarity.
Easy to forget its a choice

Read today a 12 year old was caught lighting more fires.
The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.

So sad and so scary. Feel for everyone and everything caught in those fires.

If arson is involved those people should face the strongest possible prison term.

Things may get worse today if 2 major fires merge on the New South Wales Victorian border.
If that happens nothing on earth will be able to stop this.
Anyone who is looking to donate from here please only do it to the Rural fire service. They are on the front line you see on tv.
In hopefully a few weeks there should start to be some idea how many cannabis growers have lost crops.
I've personally got at least 50 seeds ready to give to those in the fire zone and a bit of indoor grow equipment.

It's a double edge sword. Rain can mean strong winds and lightning strikes.

Sad but true.
Year's ago most councils made it illegal to clear a 10-meter zone around homes in rural areas. If that was still the case there would be fewer homes lost and lives. The RFS would have been able to concentrate on fires as well as being able to get to them.
Animals would have sheltered around homes safely.
The Aussie bush grows very very fast. In a year's time, a new ecosystem will be seen.
If the fire fronts merge today as expected ( there's less than 10km between them) what we have seen so far will be a drop in the ocean.
In the coming year trades people is what will be needed most to help rebuild.

Nothing yet. Waiting on the news. I've got family around Albury in NSW.
On the weekend if these merge I can't even put into words what they will face and I've been around bushfires all my life as well as natural disasters like 2011 floods here.
I've told my nephew to stock up on sherbet to put in water because it helps with dehydration as well as cramps that come from extreme stress.
So far no growers I know have lost anything.

The fires are still burning currently. But a few have gone out due to the recent rain in some parts of NSW. RFS is doing everything they can too to contain fires.
